Description
The USDA Forest Service, Sawtooth National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the reconstruction of Porcupine Springs Campground. Work consists of the construction of three single unit sites and one double unit site. Work includes, but is not limited to, road construction, waterline construction, site amenity installation such as fire rings and picnic tables, and campground amenity installation such as a bulletin board and fee tube. Estimated Magnitude: Between $25K and $100K The project is located on the Minidoka Ranger District on the Sawtooth National Forest. The project is approximately 40 miles by road southwest of Twin Falls, Idaho on Forest Road #70500 via State Highway 30 and 3800 East. The project is located in Cassia County, T14S, R19E, Section 32. The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 14 procedures for sealed bidding. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for Small Business concerns. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest total price that meets the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation. Payment Protection will be required for this project and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to any resulting contract. The proposed period of performance for this project is 60 days with an estimated start date of 14 June 2010. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award.
