- RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary for Project number 636-09-122, Renovate Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the Omaha Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System located are 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE 68105. Work includes, but is not limited to, General Construction, Site work, Metals, Wood and Plastic, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Finishes, Specialties, Equipment, Mechanical, and Electrical work, and necessary removal of existing structures. The main items of work in this project will consist of renovation of space for the new PACU, staff work space, staff locker rooms and storage space on the fourth floor, as well as a renovation of space for a new Surgical Evaluation Unit on the sixth floor. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications, drawings and all applicable codes and standards. Solicitation Number VA-263-10-RA-0175 for this project will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about May 5, 2010. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held during the week of May 10 May 14, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on June 11, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The project will consist of three phases and the total Period of Performance is expected to be 450 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,500,000.00.
