This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of market research being conducted by the Air Force to identify capable potential sources. Reference Solicitation FA8122-10-R-0012 for reference material and attachements. General Information Repair, Overhaul and Modification of J85 MISTR Components Provide complete depot level overhaul/repair capability of all MISTR components for J85-5/-21/-4 Engines Includes: USAF: 96 Master NSNs (-5/-21) USN: 24 USN Master NSN's (-4) FMS: repair and return Support the following: J85 Intermediate and depot level requirements Two (2) Engine Regional Repair Centers (ERRC): Laughlin Holloman Propulsion Modernization Program for T-38 Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Global Logistics Support Center (AFGLSC), Tinker AFB, 448 SCMG/PKBC, 3001 Staff Drive, Tinker AFB, OK 73145, UNITED STATES Description NOTICE TO INDUSTRY The United States Air Force, through the Global Logistics Support Center (AFGLSC), Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for J85 MISTR repair. Foreign participation as a prime contractor is authorized. Contractors responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. GENERAL PROCUREMENT DESCRIPTION The requirement is for repair/overhaul of unserviceable J85 components to a serviceable condition. Component repair and overhaul comprises majority of the work load and shall be accomplished in accordance with the latest version of the repair technical orders, technical manual, specification, regulation or instruction, or Government approved commercial practice these may be found under FBO posting FA8122-10-R-0012. All interested parties are requested to send your response and information to the contracting point of contact.
