- Thia is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capability of potential small businesses (including HUBZone firms; certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged, Veteran and Service Disabled Veteran-owned small businesses, and Woman-owned small businesses). This notice is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation, Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested or reimbusrse expenses incurred to interesed parties for responses to this sources sought. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. Applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking to identify sources with the capabilities of providing a Portable Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor Biodecontamination System in accordance with the following specifications: STATEMENT OF WORK: The Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor (HPV) Decontamination System must be a portable unit (i.e., on wheels) ≤ 300 lbs. capable of being easily moved inside an enclosure (e.g., room) to effect biodecontamination of all interior surfaces. Operation of the system from outside the enclosure must be achieved via wireless technology. The system must have the capability to decontaminate an enclosure up to 10,000 ft3 as well as the capability to effect biodecontamination of isolators, biological safety cabinets, and ventilated caging systems. However, if accessories are necessary for biodecontamination of items other than rooms, offers should not include these accessories in their bids as only the cabability to biodecontaminate isolators, biological safety cabinets, and ventilated caging systems is required at this time. The system must be able to decontaminate an enclosure under ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. Offers shall include a description of the decontamination process (e.g., conditioning, vapor distribution, aeration, etc.) and any room conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, clean and dry surfaces, etc.) necessary for proper operation of the unit. The system shall also include a printer for printing cycle data and a sensor to measure hydrogen peroxide concentrations in the enclosure. Costs for commissioning, training, calibration of the system one year after purchase, preventive maintenance of the system one year after purchase, and shipping must also be included in information provided.
