- This requirement is to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to demolish 6 offices and construct an expansion of the waiting area on the 3rd floor of the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834. Work shall involve demolition of office space, and renovating the area to match the pre-existing adjacent waiting room space, which will result in one large waiting room. Additionally, new office space shall be constructed on the patio outside the 3rd floor. All electric, data, HVAC, and plumbing work shall be included within the project. All work shall be done in accordance with the VA provided Specifications and Drawings. Site Visit: May 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM EST. Participants shall enter the building at the main entrance of the facility, at which time they will register for a day pass at the front desk. Participants shall gather in the 1st floor atrium. Due date for bids: May 21, 2010 at 2:00PM EST. Public Bid Opening Date, Time, and Location: May 21, 2010 at 2:00PM EST. The opening will take place at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center, 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834. Participants shall enter the building at the main entrance of the facility, at which time they will register for a day pass at the front desk. The opening will occur in the Directors Conference Room (room 4A062) on the fourth floor. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and able to be verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx, https://vets100.vets.dol.gov, and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. The NAICS code is 236220 and the business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required. The solicitation documents will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/ by approximately early to mid April 2010, with bid opening approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the specifications is limited to electronic medium. Specifications and Drawings will be available electronically with the solicitation documents. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at https://www.fbo.gov/ so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. A Bidder's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Bidders responsibility to register at the https://www.fbo.gov/ website in the watchlist and interested vendor sections. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed. By registering in the watchlist and any other appropriate sections, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification amendment will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers as prescribed by FAR 52.214-3 Amendments to Invitation for Bids.
