NOTE: THE SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ONLY AT WWW.FEDCONNECT.NETBLM Invitation for Bids, L10PS02406, 2,000 TONS OF GOOD QUALITY ALFALFA HAY AND 700 TONS GOOD QUALITY GRASS HAY TO BE DELIVERED TO LITCHFIELD, CA AS FOLLOWS: Delivery Schedule - between Jun 1, 2010 and Dec 31, 2010, as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Solicitation number L10PS02406 applies and will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about April 26, 2010 for the following requirement: The BLM's Litchfield, CA Holding Facility has a requirement for 2,000 tons of good quality alfalfa hay and 700 tons of grass hay, with the following requirements: Domestically grown; Sun-cured with no moisture damage, not heating. Properly stored and well cured; Free of mold, dust, Russian Thistle or Prickly herb, cheat grass, fox tails, corn stalks, bearded grain, and other long awns (spikelets), and any other weed or grass not considered healthy forage for domestic animals; Free from animal contamination, dangerous pesticides and foreign matter of any kind (i.e., wire, nails, or other debris); Hay shall be cut with a crimper and bailed with wire, or Rat and Rot-proof twine; Bales shall be delivered direct from fields or barns via clean vehicles not used for transport of livestock; Bales shall be uniform lengths; ragged bales shall not be accepted; Bales with loose wire/twine or broken bales shall not be accepted; Bales from the California Correctional Center, Susanville, CA, fields will not be accepted; Review the solicitation for a complete list of specifications. This is a 100% set-aside for small business.The NAICS classification is 424910. Size standard is 100 employees. Bids are due May 24, 2010; The anticipated award date is May 26, 2010 for a Firm Fixed Price contract. Bidders must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered for award. Award will be made to the bidder(s) with favorable past performance offering the lowest overall price.
