- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District, utilizing the simplified acquisition process, intends to request a quotation from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe for Cultural Resource Site Monitoring at Lake Oahe and Lake Oahe Dam, Dewey and Ziebach Counties, South Dakota under NAICS 921150. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will result in the award of a sole source purchase order to Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe to be issued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The work will consist of monitoring of cultural sites and traditional cultural properties at the aforementioned locations to record existing natural and human impacts to the sites utilizing Global Positioning System equipment. The work to be conducted requires expertise in Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe cultural practices associated with the area surrounding Lake Oahe. Land access is a major factor in being able to accomplish this work. The purpose of this work is to meet the Department of the Armys Federal preservation legislation and associated implementing regulations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability within 5 calendar days of this notice by contacting Tracey S. McKay at tracey.s.mckay@usace.army.mil or 402-995-2060. The Government shall review the information received and reply to the interested person. Only in cases in which the Government determines an interested person is capable of performing the work will the Government request an actual quote from that interested person.
