- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) currently occupies 1,727 contiguous rentable square feet (rsf) of office and related space in a building in Pierre, South Dakota. The FBI intends to award a succeeding lease using other than full and open competition to the incumbent lessor for this office space. The lease term is anticipated to be for seven (7) months through 12/31/2010. The FBI will consider alternative space if economically advantageous. The space must be approximately 1,727 contiguous rentable square feet (rsf) of office space and be available for occupancy by June 1, 2010. The delineated area is within the central business district of Pierre, South Dakota. Other applicable requirements include: On-site reserved parking for six (6) cars; special electrical requirements; and security requirements. The FBI‘s market survey found there was no potential location (other than the existing lessor) in the delineated area with the available contiguous rentable square feet (rsf) of office space needed. To facilitate compliance with GSAM Section 570.402-2 entitled Publicizing/Advertising, the FBI is publicizing its requirement in this advertisement. The FBI will use the information it receives to this advertisement to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or pursue a sole source justification to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the FBI will develop a cost-benefit analysis that will consider among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the FBI's requirement, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. Please send expressions of interest to: Sharon K. Starkey, Contracting Officer 935 Pennsylvania Avenue,NW, Room 10254 Washington, DC 20535 Telephone: 202-324-0564 Fax: 202-324-0570 Email: Sharon.starkey@ic.fbi.gov Expression of interest must be submitted to the above by 5:00pm est. on April 30, 2010, and must include the following information: ▪Building name and address and location of the available space within the building. ▪Rentable square feet available and expected rental rate per rentable square foot, fully serviced. ▪ANSI/BOMA Office area (ABOA) square feet to be offered and expected rental rate per ABOA, fully serviced. Indicate whether or not the quoted rental rate included an amount for tenant improvement and state the amount, if any. ▪Date of space availability. ▪Method of rental space measurement. ▪Building ownership information. ▪Amount of parking available on-site and its cost. Include whether expected rental rate included the cost of the required Government parking, if any. ▪Energy efficiency and renewable energy features existing within the building. The FBI's decision regarding whether to relocate will be based on the cost-benefit analysis and in part on the information received in response to this advertisement.
