- Sources sought to provide human blood products, transfusion compatibility testing, and antibody identification testing for the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. Required blood products include: leukocyte reduced red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate, and platelet pheresis. Other blood products may be needed on occasion to accommodate emergency or special patient care requirements. The products will be used for human injection. A consistent and reliable source of human blood products and services from a fully accredited, full service blood bank is required. Vendor must be fully accredited by the Food and Drug Administration and be capable of providing a delivery time for human blood products no longer than 60 minutes for emergency, unscheduled patient requirements either from the centralized blood bank or one of its affiliated facilities equipped with overstock supplies for just such a purpose. NAICS code is 621991 and size standard is $10,000,000.Capable businesses are encouraged to respond via email with company name, proof of accreditation, contact name, and telephone number. Businesses who feel they may be capable of fulfilling this requirement shall submit all applicable information by 4:30pm local time May 7, 2010. Sources sought only. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
