- Specification This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Arnold Engineering Development Center is seeking information regarding a capability for Raised Face Flanged, 84-in I.D. 150 lb FCI 70-2-2006 class IV Control Valve as specified in the attached SPEC NO.10414-10-001. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. Proprietary/ Competition Sensitive information will be protected from disclosure. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research notice should describe their ability to meet and/or exceed the requirment: (1) state whether they are a small or large business, and indicate if the company is a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, veteran owned, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business (2) advise if your product is a commercial item and how long you can hold pricing if quotes are requested (3) advise if you have the item on a GSA schedule or other Government contract include front page of schedule and the page showing the part is on award (4) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures and warranty. Describe any awards you have been involved in that are the same as or similar to what is described in this RFI. Include any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firm's capabilities (5) Provide Point of Contact include phone number and email address (6) provide assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code (7) Advise how much time you would need to submit a technical proposal if a solicitation is issued (8) provide an estimated price (9) provide estimated time frame for delivery after contract award. Submit all responses to the listed point of contract. If an email response is not possible, submit by FAX to 931-454-7330 or mail to 100 Kindel Drive Ste A332, Arnold AFB, TN 37389. Reference AEDCRFI1004 in all correspondence. Responses should be submitted no later than 2:00 PM CST, May 25, 2010.
