Description
The Supply Directorate, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Physio Control, Inc., 11811 Willows Rd. N.E., Redmond, WA 98052-20063. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the unique or specialized features of the items requested. Fire Department, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the purchase of 15 each Life Pack with accessories for the Firefighter Paramedic Teams. The Life Pack, P/N:99577-000047 LP15 contains the following: 2 each #11996-000091 OEM Elctd 14 Land; 1 each #21330-001365 Assy-Test Load, English; 1 each #11577-000011 Mobile battery charger; 4 each #21330-001176 Li-ION battery 5.7 AMP hour capacity; 1 each #11577-000002 Kit carry bag, main bag accessory; 1 each #11577-000001 Kit carry bag, shoulder strap accessory; 1 each #11260-000039 Kit carry bag, rear pouch; 1 each #11220-000028 Top Pouch Storage for s! ensors and electrodes. The LifePak 15 by Physio-Control offers the compatibility and functionality that is required by the Fire and Emergency Services at MCAS Cherry Point. The Fire and Emergency Service at Cherry Point currently has LifePak 12, LifePak 15, LifePak 500, and LifePak 1000, which all use Physio-Control Quick Combo Electrodes model 11996-000017 for monitoring and therapy. The same therapy pads are used on all of these models and they need to be interchangeable. The requested item is commercial in nature and will fall under the purview of commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received in a timely manner of fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT AN OFFER, WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
