Description
RECOVERY – This notice is for information purposes only as required by FAR Subpart 5.7 Publicizing Requirement Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of2009. It is the intent of the Forest Service to request competitive pricing in accordance with the Ordering Process as stated in the Region 1 IDIQ Road Construction Services multiple award contracts and issue a Task Order. Project Location. The Route of the Hiawatha trail is primarily located in the Loop Creek drainage on the St. Joe Ranger District of the IPNF in Shoshone County Idaho, Townships 46 North, Ranges 6 East and 7 East of the Boise Meridian. The Taft trailhead is located in the Rainy Creek Drainage on the Superior Ranger District of the Lolo National Forest in Mineral County Montana, Section 23, Township 19 North, Range 32 West of the Principal Meridian. The work consists of expansion of the parking lot at the east portal of the Taft Tunnel including excavation, grading, placing treated timber wheelstops and commercial source aggregate surfacing including Calcium Chloride dust abatement. Work also includes construction of a vault toilet style restroom with concrete slab. Furnishing and installing a gate, a removable bollard road closure device, landscape rocks a catenary arch, regulatory signs and commercial source landscape rocks. Snowsheds: The work includes removal of two existing structurally deficient snow sheds and construction of two new treated timber show sheds in their place. The snowsheds to be replaced are 24 east and 26 west. Other work includes installation of government furnished delineators. Pearson Trailhead: Work consists of construction of 3 picnic table sun shelters, one double bench sun shelter and one single bench sun shelter at the Pearson trailhead. Other work includes installation of government furnished sign posts and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications.
