- The National Park Service intends to acquire Communications Center Dispatch Services for Gulf Islands National Seashore from the City of Gulf Breeze. The period of performance will be for one year, and the estimated cost is $65,063. The local police department is the only known source with both the capabillity and capacity to perform this effort. The source of authority permitting this purchase is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as stated in FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), "Only one Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The Performance Work Statement provides for telephone and radio dispatching services (24 hours / 365 days) in support of law enforcement, emergency services, and general park operations. The standard for dispatch services is consistent with that of most any professional police and emergency services communications center. Any delay resulting in the conversion to a new center may adversely impact critical mission objectives. THERE IS NO PLANNED RELEASE OF A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AND THIS DOES NOT SERVE AS RFQ.
