- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC), Conservation Biology Division located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for a contractor to provide DNA analysis of ancient salmonid remains. The contractor SHALL: Provide DNA extraction, sequencing, and species identification of 100 each samples, analysis, transmittal of data & results to NWFSC and submission of unreported DNA sequences to GenBank. The contractor shall provide a short report describing the results of the work, a list of samples processed, results and interpretation of analyses with recommendations for future work. The government intends to issue a firm- fixed contract with period of performance of twelve months from date of award. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. Only firms that can provide the exact services described herein will be considered. This is a simplified acquisition with estimated value of less than $100,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
