- Description
- This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). The objectives of Integrated Aircraft and Crew Protection (IACP) are to demonstrate enhanced aircraft and crew protection, improved battlefield durability, and reduced environmental vulnerability in an integrated, platform level prototype. Effort in Phase I (Technology Evaluation and Selection) will define a technology benchmark and baseline configuration, identify and trade candidate technologies, and propose a system approach for a Platform Technology Demonstration including exit criteria.
