Description
This project involves designing, manufacturing, with on-site installation, two 130-ton intake gantry cranes. One crane will be for Lower Monumental Dam, Kahlotus, WA, and one crane for Lower Granite Dam, Pomeroy, WA. Both of the new cranes will travel on the existing rails on gantry trucks. Each crane shall have a trolley with a main hoist and at least one outside actuating hoist. The machinery is to have covers. An operators cab and remote is to be provided to operate the cranes. The crane controls will be a VFD system. The cranes are to have the latest technology for the communication, load indication and CCTV systems. The primary power source for the cranes will be a diesel engine generator set, however a cable reel for connection to shore power shall also be provided. The cranes are to provide approximately 178 feet of total main hoist lift. Total height of the cranes is approximately 75 feet. Operator control of crane motions will be accomplished by control switches located on the consoles of the operator's chair, pendant stations, and the radio transmitter. Both locations require load testing and acceptance of the new cranes along with the removal and disposal of the existing 100-ton intake gantry cranes. Solicitation No. W912EF-10-R-0021 will be posted to the FBO website on or about April 5, 2010. Proposals will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date.
