Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0496 on or about May 11 2010, for the RECOVERY Allison GS Water Distribution project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after May 11, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This project encompasses the removal and replacement of existing potable and non-potable water distribution systems located at Allison Guard Station on the Malheur National Forest in eastern Oregon. Work at the site shall include but not be limited to: Removal and disposal of existing waterlines, valves, service connections, hydrants, non-potable water storage tanks, and tanker fill. Work shall also include excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, finish grading, seeding, concrete, installation of approximately 2935 linear feet of high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) of various sizes, 4 service connections, a 2,000 gallon water storage tank, tanker fill, dry drain, hydrants, valves and boxes, and other appurtenances to create fully functioning systems at this site. The Government Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION. Allison Guard Station is located on the Emigrant Creek Ranger District in Harney County, approximatley 40 miles northwest of Burns, Oregon. PARTICIPATION. This project is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 19.5. FOR MORE INFORMATION.
