Description
This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside for Site Drainage Parking Lot Improvement - Bid Item 1 - Design-Build work includes, but not limited to install retaining wall, approximately 500 feet long and 7-12 feet high on the North side of property where low and high grades make for a significant drainage problem. The area between the current parking lot and the retaining wall will then be backfilled or a parking garage type one story parking, including proper drainage. Once backfilled, the area will be paved giving Veterans and Employees an additional 50 parking spaces that will also be required to be painted and signage. Additionally, needed sidewalks and stairs will be added to allow access to rear of the hospital. These access points will be required to have hand railing and signage. A small covered sitting area will be installed on the retaining wall access the NE area. Complete area clean up will follow each phase, with all material used in the insulation and all material removed in the demolition disposed of by the contractor/subcontractor at a qualified state, regulated landfill Disposal documented and submitted to GEMS and Safety Coordinator. Other items included are Deduct Alt #1 (Asphalt Square Footage); Deduct Alt #2 (Covered Sitting Area). All work accomplished IAW SPECS and 35% conceptual Drawings. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code) is 237990. Project Magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The proposed period of performance for this acquisition is 180 calendar days with two (2) deductive alternates. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about May 17, 2010 via Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to review the FBO website frequently for updates and/or amendments to any and all documents for this solicitation. Any prospective SDVOSB contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov/, and the Vetbiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/general_user/search/, in order to be eligible for award. The closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the solicitation. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile, or written request will be accepted.
