- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract to The American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologist, 409 12th Street SW Suite 100, Washington, DC 20024-2185. The Government intends to contract for services to develop surveys, to collect and analyze data from obstetrician gynecologists in the U.S, to develop medical practice guidelines, and to collect and evaluate information regarding practice patterns of obstetrician gynecologists in the U.S. The contract type is anticipated to be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with the total of all task orders not to exceed $3.5 Million. The period of performance is anticipated to be a 36 months. The reason for lack of competition is that market research has indicated that The American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologist (ACOG) is the only organization capable of surveying and issuing practice guidelines to over 90% of certified and uncertified obstetrician gynecologists in the U.S. ACOG is the only known organization whose membership comprise over 95% of the certified obstetrician gynecologists in the U.S. with over 90% of obstetrician gynecologists having reported that they use ACOG practice guidelines and a majority having reported an ACOG publication or guideline changed their practice pattern. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting, or exceeding the requirement as stated herein may submit a capabilities statement detailing their capability to include past performance information, which will be considered only if received by response deadline contained in this notice. Email capability statements by the deadline to Angelina H. Waring at fwv2@cdc.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
