Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes shall be submitted electronically to Dorothy.Dailey@US.Army.mil and are due by Thursday, 13 May 2010 at 3:00 p.m. MDT. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-41. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 485510 (Charter Bus Industry) with a business standard of $7 million. This requirement is unrestricted allowing all qualified offerors to submit quotes. Please quote the following: CLIN 0001: for 80 fifty-five (55) passenger coach buses equipped with heating, cooling, and a toilet for transportation between El Paso International Airport and Buildings 1009 Chaffee Road and 5040 Dudley Road, on the Fort Bliss Army Reservation located in El Paso, TX. Coach buses will be used to transport upon arrival/departure of Japanese Self Defense Forces (JSDF) military personnel on orders between 26 July 2010 and 23 December 2010. Buses must be coach type with high back seating, and storage for luggage and equipment in the undercarriage. Bus drivers must be courteous and professional in appearance. Drivers must be able to load and unload the passengers luggage and equipment. The Contractor must have adequate insurance and licensed drivers to perform the transportation tasks and gain access to the post. Drivers will be expected to work in adverse weather conditions during early mornings, late afternoons, weekends, and holidays. This is a high profile tasking that involves proper protocol and etiquette. The Contractor is expected to initiate a contingency plan to minimize no shows, accidents, and any occurences that may cause schedule delays. The Contractor will contact and coordinate with the Unit Training and Certification Division (UTCD) point of contact to provide confirmation of bus order numbers, drivers, arrival and departure times, and any unforeseen changes.
