- CHEMICALLY TREAT DESIGNATED AREAS OF INVASIVE PLANTS AT NORTH HARTLAND LAKE, NORTH SPRINGFIELD LAKE AND UNION VILLAGE DAM IN VERMONT The Contractor will furnish labor, materials, and equipment necessary to chemically treat the designated areas of invasive plants at North Hartland Lake (Hartland/Hartford, VT), North Springfield Lake (Springfield/Weathersfield, VT), and Union Village Dam (Thetford, VT). All live invasive plants within specified boundaries are to be foliage-sprayed with a mixture of herbicides. Herbicides containing glyphosate (examples: Rodeo, Accord) are allowed to be used. Escort may be added to the mixture for better kill of honeysuckles. This solicitation will be available on or about 20 May 2010 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov). In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (Go to http://www.fbo.gov and register now under Vendor/Citizens). Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 561730 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District. ***Certification: The Contractor must hold a current appropriate license issued by the State of Vermont for work required and shall obtain and comply with any necessary license or permits prior to beginning any work. The Contractor shall furnish evidence of current certification with submission of the bid and also to the Environmental Resource Specialist before proceeding with the scheduled work.
