Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The United States Capitol Visitor Center is seeking potential sources (educators) to assist in researching and writing educational resources for the Center’s web site and for publication. The resources content – topics and curriculum themes – will highlight the historical and present significances of themes relating to the Capitol Visitor Center. These resources will be designed for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade teachers and students. Educators are needed in the following disciplines – U.S. History, Government, Social Studies, Civic Education, Art History and Art Appreciation, Science, Literature and Early Childhood Education. The content of these educational resources will be developed within the framework of National Standards as well as best practices in curriculum design and instruction. The final deliverables will be lesson outlines and web content. The work will involve some research of themes as well as preparation of an outline of lesson components (images, bibliography, etc.). The target audience will be students, the target contractors are educators as follows: 3-4 Educators for Early Childhood 10-12 Educators 1st thru 12th grade Interested parties are encouraged to send their contact information to rphilipo@aoc.gov preferably via email (see contact information below). Please note that a briefing will be held with interested parties (a pre-proposal conference) to answer any questions and clarify administrative requirements for preparing a price quotation.
