- NOTE: DUE TO A PD2 issue, this notice has been renumbered to HE1260-10-R-7007. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific is issuing this synopsis for prospective contractors to compete for an upcoming 5-year contract to perform Bus Services (personnel, supervision, commuting services, vehicles and equipment) for students attending school at Area I, Camp Casey and Camp Red Cloud. The DoDEA Pacific Korea District anticipates providing school buses servicing 7 routes (minimum estimate at this time) at Area I during 183 regular school days beginning in August 2010 and 20 days optionally of extended school year days occurring primarily between the months of June and July of each calendar year. Contracted bus driver employees must meet certain qualifications as stipulated by the Government. The period of performance shall be a base period of one (1) year plus four option years thereafter, with a tentative contract start date of 23 August 2010. Proposals received will be evaluated using best value trade-off source selection procedures pursuant to FAR 15--award will be evaluated under "Best Value" practices. Solicitation issuance is tentatively scheduled on/or about March 24, 2010. Proposal due date is tentatively set for April 30, 2010 @ 2:00 pm, Japan Standard Time (JST). Interested firms must be registered in Central Contracting Registration (CCR) to be awarded any Federal Government contracts. Prospective contractors are responsible to visit the site periodically for any changes/updates to the solicitation that may occur.
