- SINGLE AWARD IDIA TASK/DELIVERY ORDER FIRM FIXED PRICE EXCEEDING $25,000.00RECOVERY-PROJECT NUMBER RM10-4182, PAVING & FENCING REPAIRS BUILDING 2521 SMALL ARMS FACILITY PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER: DAVE O'MARA CONTRACTOR, INC., N40083-09-D-2234 These site improvements will include: selective demolition for site improvements and new parking lot drain-age and culverts, new asphalt and asphalt overlays, and improved parking layout.Building 2521(also known as Warehouse A) is located along highway 331 in the warehouse area of NSA Crane and is currently occupied by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC). The project consists of the re-grading and resurfacing of approximately 18,800 SY of parking lots and sur-rounding paved areas at Building 2521. Associated storm drainage ditches and structures are also included in the project. Demolition on the site is minimal and shall include, but is not limited to: cold milling of existing asphalt areas within the fence line, removal of the security fence on the eastern and north western sides of the building and the gravel pavement within the fenced area. The existing gravel parking lot outside of the security fence will have approximately 5" of gravel removed to allow for this area to receive asphalt pavement. On the eastern and northern sides of the site, 5-15" corrugated metal pipes will be removed.Primary approach to Building 2521 is from Highway 331. A Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) parking area is required for this improvement project. This project also requires concrete motorcycle parking which will be located between Buildings 2521 and 3422. Approximately 300 linear feet of chain-link fencing will be in-stalled.Within the existing fence line, gravel areas will be re-compacted and receive a 3-inch base course with a 2-inch asphalt surface course. Per user request, grassed areas were added on the southern and eastern sides of the site. However, to allow for delivery trucks to have access to doors 8 and 13, 100-foot wide paved turnaround areas were added in front of these doors. Existing paved areas will receive a minimum of 2-inches of asphalt surface course. At the location of the existing train tracks, a full-depth asphalt pavement will be constructed.Outside of the existing fence line, a minimum of 2-inches of asphalt surface course and new pavement markings will be applied to the existing asphalt POV parking lots. The existing gravel POV lot will receive a 3-inch base course with a 2-inch asphalt surface course. All paved areas shall have a minimum slope of 1%. The storm drainage system shall be designed to handle a 10-year, 24-hour storm. Site storm water runoff will be collected in surface ditches and catch basins and be directed away from the building and parking ar-eas. On the eastern side of the site, a proposed catch basin and 18" RCP will tie into an existing manhole. On the south side of the site, two proposed catch basins and 18" outlet pipes will be installed to improve the current site drainage.
