Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to a unique capability provided, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award on a sole source basis to Stevens Institute of Technology, 1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, NJ 07030. The procurement is using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is for professional support services to the New Jersey Alternative Long Term Nourishment Study with regards to the New Jersey Inlet Erosion Hot Spot Assessment and Mitigation. No RFQ will be issued based on this notice. Although quotes will not be accepted, any information received will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. All contractors are required to be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Register before award as required by DFARS 204-7300. The NAICS code is 541620 with a Size Standard of $7 million.
