- General Information •- Document Type: Pre-solicitation Notice •- Proposed Solicitation Number HE1260-10-R-4010 •- Procurement Classification Code 73 - Food Preparation and Serving Equipment •- The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 722310 - Food Service Contractors, with a size standard of $20.5 million •- This competitive procurement will be a small business set-aside in accordance with FAR 19. •- Proposal received will be evaluated using best value trade-off source selection procedures pursuant to FAR 15. •- A Pre-proposal Conference and Site Visit are tentatively scheduled for the 2 nd week of August 2010 at the DoDEA Pacific District Superintendent's Office (DSO) - Guam. Contracting Office Address •- Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific, Procurement Division, Unit 35007, APO AP 96376-5007 Background: •- The DoDEA Pacific Procurement Division, Okinawa, Japan is providing this notification to announce the upcoming solicitation for Guam School Lunch Food Services to support four (4) DoDEA Pacific schools in Guam and to gain knowledge of potential offerors who may be interested in competing for this upcoming solicitation. Description of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material for meals, supplies, tools, transportation, quality control and supervision necessary to provide full food services at DoDEA Pacific schools in Guam. The scope of work will include, but not be limited to, preparation and service of lunch meals that are in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) compliance standards, and also the cleaning of kitchen and dining facility areas. The period of performance shall be a base period of one (1) year plus four option years thereafter, with a tentative contract start date at the end of this calendar year, 2010. The contract type is Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), and applicable USDA subsidies will be provided in accordance with the USDA's National School Lunch Program. Please be advised that this is not a solicitation or a request for proposal (RFP), and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. All interested firms who wish to attend the pre-proposal conference scheduled to be held in August 2010 in Guam must send names and titles of attendees and company name to Ms. Hendricksen at the contact information provided below. Additionally, if attendees will require escort onto the military base, please indicate that this is required in your e-Mail to Ms. Hendricksen. Offerors are required to submit to the Government via e-Mail point of contact listed below a capability statement by July 31, 2010 in order to compete for this procurement. A capability statement should be only 1 or 2 pages in length and contain the following information: •• Core competencies (short introduction related to the company's business) •• Differentiators (Sample: How is your company best suited to the needs of this procurement?) •• Corporate Data (A company description of the size of the firm, revenue, number of employees, and the typical geographic area served.) •• Contact Information Interested firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be awarded any Federal Government contracts.
