- Description
- Isolera One Flash Purification System. It is the National Energy Technology Laboratory's (NETL) intent to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Biotage for an Isolera One Automated Flash Purification System. This is considered a sole source to Biotage for the purchase of an Isolera One automated flash purification system with expanded fraction collector bed and variable wavelength detector. This column flash purification system is needed for the synthesis and purification of novel materials synthesized. The Biotage Isolera One Automated Flash Purification System with expanded fraction collector bed and variable wavelength detector is the only unit which will fulfill our needs. The Isolera One System is a compact flash purification system with intelligent features to easily achieve better separations of organic compounds. The TLC-to-gradient feature automatically creates elution gradients and suggests cartridge and sample size. This equipment will collect fractions using two wavelengths, adjust the flow rate from 1 to 200 mL/min as needed, and use up to four solvents in a single gradient, for maximum purity and yield. This unit has additional useful features such as the large st integrated fraction capacity for collecting larger samples. The Isocratic co-solvent feature increases compounds solubility and recovery. Biotage Isolera has easy to use intuitive software allowing the scientists to create their methods easily. Biotage SNAP cartridges allow increased loading of samples and improves compound separations. The Isolera One System has the capability to add an auxiliary detector if needed. The Isolera One is the only equipment available which is capable of meeting NETL's needs. This equipment is only available from the intended sole source supplier Biotage. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy the agency's need for the equipment described herein. Biotage is the only vendor that can supply the equipment as described. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Challenges must demonstrate the capability to provide all necessary data elements. If no challenges to acquire these items are received by 5:30 p.m. EST on May 21, 2010, the government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to lora.stumpf@netl.doe.gov no later than the time and date noted above.
