- Pre-Bid Meeting Sign-in Sheet Exhibit 2 - Lead Based Paint Removal SF30 - Amendment 1 SF30 Amendment 1 The Purpose of this amendment is to: A) Update and provide contractors with the following revisions to the Specifications and Schedule of items resulting from the pre-bid meeting Q&A - GENERAL RELATED TO ALL TOWERS- 1. Add the Lead Base Paint Specifications as attached 2. No Electricity will be provided at any of the three sites. GREEN KNOB- 3. Add incidental to bid item 2 - I. Remove the existing scattered metal around the tower base including a single bed, various antenna parts and pieces around the base of the tower. This material is to be removed off National Forests System Lands and disposed of properly. 4. Question: How many layers of new flooring is to be installed (5/4") per the specifications. Answer: one(1) 5. Bid Item 3. A- Repair Concrete Footing - Quantity should be reduced from two (2) to one (1). This footing is the footing that supports the base of the stairs landing and detail sheet 5 of 17 applies to this repair. 6. Question: Do we have access to the Green Knob Tower other than the approx/ 1/4 mile narrow trail that accesses the Fire Tower. Answer: No, this is the only route that serves this facility and all material will be required to be delivered by hand to the project site. No motorized machines will be allowed on the Green Knob Trail System. FRYING PAN - 7. Bid Item 7 - I. Remove Lighting Protection System - this line item should also include removal of all electrical components within the tower cab and attached to the tower frame that is not in use. Items such as the electrical heater, switches, lights, conduit, wiring and any other electrical component shall be removed off national Forest System Lands. Also included within this bid item is the removal of any antenna component such as a base, frame, mounting brackets that are not in use should also be removed. 8. Green know Downlead Cable - 2 required - The Bid Schedule Bid Items 5.-B Quantity should be changed from 40 LF to 80 LF. 9. Frying Pan - Downlead Cable - 2 required - The Bid Schedule Bis Item number 10.-B Quantity should be changed from 120 to 240 LF. 10. Rich Mtn. - Downlead Cable - 2 required - The Bid schedule Bid Item number 15.-B Quantity should be changed from 60 LF to 120 LF. ================================= B) Add Exhibit 2 - Lead Based Paint Removal C) Provide the sign-in sheet from the pre-bid meeting. D) To extend the date proposals were originally due from May 12, 2010 to May 14, 2010. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged
