- Description
- The USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Cotton Program Grading Branch, intends to procure approximately 14,200 cotton bale bags. The dimensions of the gusset bags need to be 72" by 100" (this size is different from the National Cotton Council of America Standards). The bags must meet the National Cotton Council of America standards (except for the dimension size which is changed to 72" by 100") and must be one of the following: spiral sewn burlap bags; cotton bagging; or polypropylene bagging. The USDA intends to award a commercial firm-fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for this effort. This contract will be for 36 months. This will be a low price technically acceptable procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) AG-4740-S-10-0200, will be released on or about May 10, 2010 and posted on this FEDBIZOPPS website. Please download the RFP from this website. This procurement will be a total small business set-aside, therefore all responsible small businesses may submit an offer. The NAICS code is 314911 with a size standard of 500 employees. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER'S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE.
