- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the purchase of Magnetron "L" Band Electron Tubes (NSN: 5960-00-912-4434) for use in conjunction with ARSR-1&2 Long Range Radars. The contract requires the delivery of tubes manufactured in accordance with Specification QC-E-1/480E, dated 08/17/2005, attached to Section C of this SIR. The successful offeror will be required to provide and deliver tubes in accordance the terms and conditions of this contract under individual delivery orders issued by the FAA MMAC Contracting Officer as quantities are required. First Article Testing is required under this contract unless a waiver is requested by the offeror and approved by the Contracting Officer (see Section L of the SIR for additional information). This SIR is for an Unrestricted procurement using Full and Open Competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334411 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. See Section I, Clause 3.6.1-4 regarding the requirement for a Subcontracting Plan from the otherwise successful offeror if the firm is other than a small business. This is a Request for Offer (RFO) and a firm fixed-priced contract may result from proposals submitted. The Government will not be liable for any costs associated with the submittal of a response to this SIR. All responses to this announcement must be received by 2:00pm Central Time on 7 June 2010. Please submit all questions in writing only to the Contract Specialist identified herein not less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the response closing date / time. The Low-Priced, Technically-Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation method will be use to determine the otherwise successful awardee for this contract in accordance with Section M. Both Cost/ Price Proposals (Vol I) and Technical Proposals (Vol II) are required in response to this announcement. All offers in response to this announcement shall be submitted according to the instructions found in Section L of the SIR. Failure to follow instructions in the preparation or submission of your proposal may deem your offer ineligible for award.
