- This is a Sources Sought notification. In no way should it be construed to be an announcement of a solicitation or a solicitation. The purpose of this announcement is to seek from industry possible solutions to the required Army action. The Army is seeking these items for use by their 191st Band. The items are described below: (note due to formatting issues with the business opportunity posting system, all items that appear in single quotes below will actually be in all caps on the final products) One (1) Baldric with case Fully embroidered by hand in gold and silver bullion colored silks. The dark blue represents the Adjutant General Corps with which all Army Bands are associated. The shoulder sleeve insignia is displayed below a double white scroll inscribed '191st' 'Army Band' in red letters and below three scrolls inscribed 'the band 'of the' 'wild west' in dark blue letters. The red, yellow, and black band represents the Army Superior Unit Award earned by the unit. The three white bands display the campaign credit for WWII service: Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and Po Valley. One (1) Mace with case Manufactured to the Army approved design shape in hall marked sterling silver. On the dome of the mace is the insignia of the 63rd Regional Support Command, the units affiliation. Displayed around the mace head is the inscription '191st army band'. On the lower portion and on both sides of the mace, are three scrolls bearing the inscription 'the band' 'of the' 'wild west' below is the image of crossed miners picks and pan, used by the miners during the California Gold Rush, alluding to the units home station of California. A stylized rope encircles the bottom of the mace six times, suggesting the lariat and a symbol of the Wild West. The staff is Mallacca cane with double cross chains and long ferrule silver plated. Eight (8) Eight Tabards with case- the background is adapted from the California State flag: displayed in the distinctive unit insignia worn by the unit between a red scroll inscribed '191st army band'. In white at the top and below the insignia two stacked dark blue scrolls inscribed 'the band' 'of the wild west' in white. Dimensions of the Tabard is 17 x 17 and each is hand embroidered on both sides. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Respond to this Sources Sought Notification Interested parties should send a brief description of their ability to meet the above requirement. Interested parties are further invited to comment on Sources Sought notification to identify any possible obstacles to successfully completing the requirements of the United States Army in this matter.
