- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. WC1JW80082N03901 is being issued as a Request for Quote, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-39. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 811310; small business standard size is $7.0M. The Government intends to award a firm fixed priced contract. CLIN 0001: Repair CAT Diesel Engine for D7G Dozer Dozer has a liquid lock in the cylinders from a water leak in the head gasket or cracked head. Unload dozer; remove engine, rebuild & installation of a CAT Diesel engine on a D7G Dozer; Steam clean machine; OEM or better parts shall be used; labor and miscellaneous fluids and consumables; Test and adjust engine as required. CLIN 0002: Transportation of Dozer Government will transport and deliver dozer to contractors repair shop located within the following areas: Anchorage Alaska, Palmer Alaska, Wasilla Alaska, or to the Anchorage port: contractor must pick up the dozer at the same specified location and deliver dozer to the same location upon completion of work. FAR 52.252-1 and 52.252-2 apply and are filled in to read http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: a.DELIVERY Delivery must be made no later than 15 July 2010. The offeror must provide within its offer the estimated number of days after receipt of order it will take to begin performance AND deliver. b.REFERENCES/ PAST PERFORMANCE provide three (3) relevant references from within the last three (3) years c.PRICE Relevant past performance for the same or similar services will be assessed. Relevant past performance should include three (3) contract references for Dozer engine repair, quality of service, and timeliness of service. Offerors are required to provide as part of the quote a description of how the contracts referenced are related to the immediate acquisition. Past performance questionnaire shall be distributed by the offeror to the references. The references listed must return the completed questionnaires directly to Marvinia Adams, Contract Specialist, at marvinia.j.adams@us.army.mil or fax with cover sheet to (907) 384-7118. Past performance information obtained from sources other than those identified by the offeror may be used. The Government may not obtain information on all of the listed contract references and/or may not contact all of the identified POCs. Offeror should submit attached request for quote with quote submittal. Offeror should submit Cage Code, DUNS, and Tax ID numbers with quote submittal for verification. Offers should be emailed to the Government point of contact (POC) no later than 14 May 2010 @ 4:30pm Alaska Time.
