Description
INTERIM SUPPORT BUILDING (ISB) SOUTH EXTERIOR METAL STAIRWELL CONSTRUCTION, AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC), FORT WORTH, TEXAS The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned construction contractors interested in providing offers for the stairwell construction package at the ARTCC, Fort Worth, Texas. Work will consist of, but is not limited to demolition of the existing wooden stairs with foundation. It also includes demolition of wooden landings, handrails, supporting framework, awnings, exterior light fixtures, existing asphalt pavement, concrete walkway and curb. New construction includes the construction of two exterior metal stairways and enclosures and will include a new foundation. 1.Contract performance time is 183 days 2.THIS PROCUREMENT IS TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET ASIDE 3.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236210 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million.4.The dollar range for this project is between $50,000 and $200,0005.A mandatory (pre-bid) site visit will be conducted at the site in May. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. Further information will be contained in solicitation package.6.Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees.7.Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. The solicitation package is expected to be available the week of May 24, 2010. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than 3:00 pm (CDT) by May 12, 2010. Requests received after this date and time will not be honored. No telephone requests will be accepted. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the attached document: 1. BUSINESS DECLARATION FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
