Description
PWS RFQ Load Test Equipment List COMBINED SYNOPSIS - SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS (IAW FAR 12.603 (c)) (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 & 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1M2X50034A001 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38, effective 01 Feb 2010. (iv) This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 334519 with a 500 employee size standard. (v) Contractors shall submit quotes for load testing of each piece of equipment listed on attachment 1 of the RFQ and a lump sum quote for miscellaneous repairs. An optional site visit will be conducted on Monday 17 May 10 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. All interested contractors shall meet at the visitor's center at the Dorchester Rd. gate, Charleston AFB, SC. Contractors shall arrive at the visitor's center by 9:30 AM. A valid driver's license, proof of current insurance and current vehicle registration shall be required to access the base. A member of the 628th Contracting Squadron will meet contractors at the visitor's center. Please contact me no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Friday 14 May 10 if you plan on attending the site visit. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. (vi) Load testing and miscellaneous repairs of equipment on Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina (See attached RFQ document). (vii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award: (full text of clauses and provisions may be accessed electronically at this website: http://farsite.hill.af.mil) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial. (viii) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance: 1.Past Performance. 2. Price. Past Performance is significantly more important than price.
