Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC) has a requirement for a contractor to provide a full spectrum of clinical research support services to the VRC's Clinical Trials Core (CTC) for universal influenza vaccines and for other vaccine developed for testing in human clinical trials. Specific contract areas will include 1) Coordinating clinical trial site selection and performance of vaccine clinical trial support; 2) Data management services; and 3) Regulatory support and monitoring services. It is anticipated that this requirement will be procured as an IDIQ, task order type contract due to the rapidly changing needs of the Vaccine Research Center. The contract may require support for up to four (4) Phase-I clinical trials and one (1) Phase-II clinical trial in each contract year. Task Order requirements may require the contractor to select and manage clinical trial sites throughout the United States simultaneously. It is anticipated that any resultant contract will be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders. It is the intent of the government to award one contract beginning on or about September 25, 2010. The anticipated contract term is 5-years. The RFP will be available electronically on or about May 25, 2010 and may be accessed through FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov. This notice does not commit the government to award a contract. All questions must be directed in writing to Michele Pearlman at pearlmanm@niaid.nih.gov. No collect calls will be accepted. No facsimile transmission will be accepted.
