- This is not a solicitation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Hubzone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage, Small Veteran Owned Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) relative to NAICS 621512 (Size Standard of $ 13.5 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imagine (MRI) services, including ARRT technologist, for five days per week. Contractor shall provide a technologist and mobile MRI equipment that shall operate at a minimum of 1.5 Tesla magnet strength and have the capability to perform all body, abdominal, neuro and vascular imaging. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. The intended contract period will be a base year, with four (4) option years, anticipated to be awarded on or before October 01, 2010. Contractor shall provide all equipment, tools and labor to provide MRI service five (5) days per week for VA referred benficiaries of the VAIHCS, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL 61832, MRI studies shall be performed, as deemed medically appropriate and requested by VAIHCS. VAIHCS will identify on-duty MRI Coordinator to interface with the mobile MRI technicians on duty. The Contractor shall be responsible for all contractor personnel, subcontractors, agents and anyone acting for or on behalf of the Contractor. Contractor shall provide the necessary number of mobile MRI units and stafing needed to service VAIHCS. Unit(s) shall operate at a minimum of 1.5 Tesia magnet strength and have the capability to perform all body, abdominal, neuro and vascular imaging. Contractor shall also provide surface coils for all imaging modalities at their expense. The Contractor shall be responsible for transporting the unit to and from VAIHCS, if required. Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring communication equipment is in each unit and necessary numbers are made available to each facility in case emergencies arise that require immediate contact or for messaging purposes. The Government will provide the necessary phone lines to hook up the MRI unit to the facility's telephone communication system. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all maintenance and repair of the MRI Mobile unit trailer. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category, i.e. Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO), HUBZone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman Owned (WO), and Veteran Owned (VO), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621512 and the small business size standard is $13.5 million average annual receipts for preceding three (3) years. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. VAIHCS IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy.
