- Contracting Office Address: Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center(JM&LCC) Acquisition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000. Description: This notice is a Sources Sought announcement. There is nosolicitation available at this time. The JM&LCC, in support of the ProjectManager for Crew Served Weapons, is conducting a market survey to identifypotential sources for Spare Parts and unique Gages required for the operationand maintenance of the M2A1 machine gun. The M2A1 is an improved M2 Heavy Barrel Machine Gun. The M2A1 is an automatic, recoil-operated, link-belt-fed, air cooled weapon. M2A1 enhancements include a quick change barrel which moves headspace and timing requirements on the gun above operator level. GD-ATP currently owns the proprietary technical data package for the M2A1 unique parts, including gages. This notice is to determine if there are sources capable of providing the Spare Parts and unique gages required for the operation and maintenance of the M2A1 machine gun. The contract shall require the delivery of various Spare Parts (up to approximately 240 pieces each part) and approximately 600 Wear/Limit/Timing Gages. All responsible, interested offerors are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification data and any pertinent information in hard copy or via email, within 15 calendar days to: Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Contracting Center (JM&LCC), Acquisition Center, CCJM-SW Building 9, Attn: Vincent Turco, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email to vince.turco@us.army.mil. Any information provided will not be returned. This is a sources sought notice only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published and more detailed technical requirements will be provided.
