- RECOVERY –Stanton Lake-Grant Ridge Trailhead General Information Document Type:P = Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Type: RFQ Posted Date:13 May 2010 Response Date:June 22, 2010 TIME 1400 Classification Code:Z Maintenance, Repair or Alteration of Real Property Set-AsideEmerging Small Business under the Competitive Demo Act NAICS238990 All Other Specialty Trade Contractors Solicitation No.:AG-82B1-S-10-0404 Description THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2010. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful quote. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Request for Quotation numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0401 on or about 28 May 2010, for the RECOVERY Stanton Lake-Grant Ridge Trailhead parking lot/access road project. If the Request for Quotation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after 28 May 2010 to obtain a copy of the Request for Qotation. This requirement is being solicited as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under FAR Part 15. Proposals or offers are due at 22 June, 2010; 1400 MT. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror based upon price and other evaluation factors as stated in the solicitation(IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) ALL PROPOSALS SHOULD BE MAILED TO: USDA/FOREST SERVICES ATTN: TESS M. FOSTER 740 SIMMS ST GOLDEN, CO 80401 PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The work consists of constructing an access road and trailhead parking lot. This site is located in section 36, T.31N., R.17W. Items of work include: clearing and grubbing road and parking lot areas; removal of an existing culvert and installation of a new culvert; construction of 260 ft of access road and a parking lot approximately 0.4 acres in size; import materials to raise the grade of the road and parking lot; surfacing of parking lot and approach road; importation and installation of parking lot barrier boulders; and installation of Government supplied regulatory and informational signs (posts must be supplied by the contractor). Initial construction staking will be provided by the Government. Additionally all disturbed areas not surfaced with crushed aggregate shall be seeded and mulched w/ certified weed free seed and straw. The precise details of performing the work are not stipulated except as considered essential for the successful completion of the work. Furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (b) is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. There will be a pre-proposal site visit held on this project at the HUNGRY HORSE RANGER STATION, 10 Hungry Horse Drive, Hungry Horse, MT 59919 on June 10, 2010 at 9:00AM. The estimated contract period of performance is 45 days after NTP Payment Protection will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. The project is located on the Hungry Horse Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest, Flathead County, Montana. The project can be reached by taking U.S. Highway No.2 for approximately 49 Miles east of Kalispell, Montana. Project is located approximately 200 yards east of Stanton Creek Lodge. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
