- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER ROOF IDIQ CONTRACT NUMBER FA9301-07-D-0002. Contractor: Vanguard Construction, Inc. P.O. Box 239, Arroyo Grande, CA. It is the Contracting Squadron's intent to award firm-fixed price task orders to the above contractor. Davis-Bacon wages presently in effect for California. CA070031 (Modification 12) dated 08/24/2007 and CA070013 (Modification 9) 08/17/2007 will prevail. These acquisitions are subject to the North American Industry Classification Code 236220 and the annual size standard is $14.0 million. RECOVERY - Repair Roof TPS B1220 - FSPM102125 The work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for a complete roof system. Single ply (PVC) roof membrane can be mechanically fastened or fully adhered unless otherwide specified. All equipment, conduits, piping, vents, curbing and miscellaneous fixtures shall be raised to accommodate the new roof membrane. Remove any unused equipment, conduits, piping, vents, curbing and miscellaneous fixtures. Remove asbestos containing roof materials and roof mastic. Remove existing walkpads from built-up roofs when new roof is to be overlayed on existing roof. All roof designs shall not allow any ponding of water on roof. Replace all scuppers and drains. Ensure drains and downspouts are clean and flow without restrictions. Replace all sheetmetal with new including but not limited to drip edges, coping, rain gutters, downspouts and flashings. Install new walkpads from roof accesses to and around equipment. Replace wood nailers with pre-treated wood. All sheetmetal shall be pre-finished if available or primed and painted (2 coats). Paint all rooftop equipment and facias. Colors shall be Dunn-Edwards Redwood or Marble Cream (color scheme shall be determined prior to installation). Single ply (PVC) roof membrane shall be white unless otherwise specified. For roofs with a slope of 2:12 or less - "Use roofing materials having a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) equal to or greater than 78. "For roof with a slope greater than 2:12 - "Use roofing materials having a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) equal to or greater than 29". These facilities are located on Edwards Air Force Base, California. Bldg 1220: Remove built-up roof down to insulation. Install 1/4" siliconized gypsum (Dens Deck) compatible with single ply roof (PVC) system over entire facility. Install single ply (PVC) roof membrane. Reuse existing rain gutters and downspouts. Install 2 ea. fall protection tie off points on 3rd floor roof. Replace and install new roof access ladder with safety cage. Repaint facia. Roof mastic is positive for asbestos.
