- Description
- The subject contract is for the operations and maintenance, design and development, and sustainment of Unmanned Aircraft System Operations Center Support (UASOCS) mission systems in support of unmanned aerial Combat Air Patrols managed by ACC. The command's Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs), currently, but not limited to the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper, provide war fighters long endurance, real time reconnaissance and surveillance, and precision attack against fixed and time critical targets. UASOCS is comprised of both commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment solutions and programs of record for interfacing and communicating between Ground Control Stations (GCS), Squadron Operations Centers (SOC), the Wing Operations Center (WOC), forward aircraft, and Command and Control (C2) centers worldwide at the unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) levels. This system-of-systems provides critical C2 data, voice interconnectivity, and video relays to enable pilots and sensor operators to fly and control UASs worldwide. Currently, ACC provides UAS operations from the 432nd Wing (WG) and the 49 Fighter Wing (FW). The 432 WG is the lead wing and provides overall command and control of UAS operations. The 49 FW provides training to support UAS operations. ACC/A8QC, the command's UAS Communications Requirements Branch, acts as the focal point for the purposes of reporting. The 432 WG is comprised of the 11th Reconnaissance Squadron (11 RS), 15th Reconnaissance Squadron (15 RS), 17th Reconnaissance Squadron (17 RS), 42nd Attack Squadron (42 ATKS), and 18th Reconnaissance Squadron (18 RS) at Creech AFB (CAFB), NV. The 49 Fighter Wing (FW) provides training to support UAS operations. The 49 FW is comprised of the 29th Attack Squadron (29 ATKS) and 6th Reconnaissance Squadron (6 RS) and the 16th Training Squadron (16 TRS) at Holloman AFB (HAFB), NM.
