- RECOVERY-THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ09QA00008. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity was available only to the Adams & Associates, Inc. under contract number DOLJ09QA00008. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps intends to award a modification in the amount of $25,452 to the Glenmont Job Corps Center, operated by Adams & Associates, Inc. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for Equipment, Career Technical Skills Training, and Construction & Rehabilitation on this contract. It would have been impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification was to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to address the following program initiatives: procurement of Education materials and equipment for the Auto and Construction curriculum pertaining to the development of green training elements/modules in each of the priority areas (Auto, Construction and Manufacturing Technology) of center-operated programs, as detailed in Job Corps Curriculum Change Notice 09-01 and Curriculum Change Notice 09-02, for the period September 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Specifically: Ridgid RP 210-B Battery Press Tool Kit with ProPress Jaws (1/2" - 1-1/4") Item # 31028; also procurement of materials to complete Career Technical Training Skills "Green" Landscaping projects; and, Construction & Rehabilitation work to repair leaking valves and circulating pumps. The operator of the Glenmont Job Corps Center will make these funds available through procurement opportunities, following all applicable FAR procurement regulations. This Modification has been awarded on May 13, 2010.
