- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA-244-10-RQ-0241 and it is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 238220. The following provisions/clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offeror--FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items--FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items--FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration (vendor's registration in CCR must be current and complete to be considered)--VAAR 852.203-70 Commercial Advertising-- FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. Successful offer will be the one that provides the best value to the Government. The V A Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a requirement for the service listed below. All work will be performed at our facility located at University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. All communication regarding quotes, questions, etc. is to be submitted by email to Bill Matelan (William.Matelan@va.gov). Phone calls will not be accepted. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM, Eastern Time, on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Quotes may be submitted by email. Please read the entire solicitation. Offerors are responsible for all terms, clauses, and conditions contained therein. General Work Description CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT, SUPERVISION, ETC TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS TO ONE (1) HORIZONTAL COLD WATER STORAGE TANK WITH APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS OF 150 X 382 TANK WILL BE DRAINED BEFORE ARRIVAL OF CONTRACTOR REMOVE DEBRIS FROM THE EXISTING BITUMASTIC COAL TAR LINING AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DESCALE EXISTING TANK RINSE INTERIOR TO REMOVE ALL TRACES OF CONTAMINANTS AND DEBRIS CONTAIN AND REMOVE ALL DEBRIS RELINE BY APPLYING CIM 1061 (AN ANSI/NSF APPROVED TANK LINING WHICH CONFORMS TO PENNSYLVANIA CODE 109.606) TO THE INTERIOR OF SAID TANK RELINING IS TO BE DONE BY HAND BY TRAINED APPLICATORS IN ONE CONTINUOUS APPLICATION WORK AREA WILL BE KEPT AND LEFT IN A NEAT, CLEAN, AND ORDERLY MANNER LINING MUST BE GUARANTEED TO REMAIN INTACT AND PROTECTIVE FOR AT LEAST 5 (FIVE) YEARS PLEASE STATE APPROXIMATE TIME NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK IN YOUR QUOTES THIS JOB MUST BE STARTED NO LATER THAN MAY 28, 2010 AND FINISHED NO LATER MAY 26, 2010 (UNLESS ANOTHER TIME FRAME IS APPROVED BY THE CONTRACTING OFFICER CONTRACTOR MUST SUPPLY PROOF OF INSURANCE
