Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful quote. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing an Invitation for Bid numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0377 on or about May 28, 2010, for the RECOVERY – Madge Creek Bridge, Kootenai National Forest, Libby, Montana. If the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after June 1, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid (IFB). This requirement is being solicited as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Proposals or offers are due at July 1, 2010; 10:00 A.M. MT. A multiple firm-fixed price type contract may be awarded to the responsible offeror(s) based upon price and other evaluation factors as stated in the solicitation (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) ALL PROPOSALS SHOULD BE MAILED TO: USDA/FOREST SERVICES ATTN: PHYLLIS R. COBURN-HARRIEL 740 SIMMS ST GOLDEN, CO 80401 PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This project consist of removing the existing Madge Creek Culvert and replacing with either a 60’ concrete Bulb Tee Bridge or a 60’ Steel sub-structure with a wooden deck bridge. It also includes constructing stream simulation through the site. PROJECT LOCATION. The Madge Creek Bridge is located 1.3 miles up NFSR #691, Camp Creek Road, T30N, R33W, Section 33. To locate Camp Creek road from Troy, Montana follow US 21 miles east of Troy to MT 56 (Bull Lake Highway), turn right on 56 and follow it south to Camp Cr at approximately MP 10.0, jct, with NFSR #691. North Creek Culvert Replacement – The project consists of removing the existing North Creek culvert and replacing with either a 62’ concrete Tri Deck Bridge or a 62’ steel sub-structure with a wooden deck bridge. Also included is stream simulation construction through the site. The North Creek Bridge project is located 4.7 Miles up NFSR #435, Spread Creek Road, T36N, R33W, Section 19. To locate Spread Creek road from Troy, Montana follow US 2, ten miles west of Troy to MT 508 (Yaak River Road), turn right on 508 and follow it north to Spread Creek at approximately MP 22.1, jct with NFSR #435. Upper Iron Creek Culvert Replacement - This project consists of removing the existing Iron Creek culvert and replacing with a 12’ by 6’3” by 58’ long Structural Plate Arch Bottomless Culvert. It also includes constructing stream simulation through the site. The Upper Iron Creek Culvert Replacement project is located 4.46 Miles up NFSR #4555, Iron Grouse Road, T30N, R34W, Section 4. To locate Iron Grouse Road from Troy, Montana follow US 2, one-half mile east of Troy to Iron Creek Road turn right on Iron Creek and follow it south to Iron Grouse Road approximately Mile Post 3.0, jct. with NFSR #4555. Grizzly Creek Culvert Replacement – This project consist of removing the existing Grizzly Creek culverts and replacing them with a 25’ by 12’6” by 114’ long Structural plat Arch Bottomless Culvert. It also includes construction stream simulation through the site. The Grizzly Creek Culvert replacement project is located 3.67 miles up NFSR #472 Burnt Dutch Road, T34N, R33W, Section 1. To locate Burnt Dutch Road from Troy, Montana follow US 2, ten miles west of Troy to MT 508 (Yaak River Road), turn right on 508 and follow it north to Burnt Ditch Road at approximately Mile Post 13.0 jct with NFSR #472. This item is an optional item to be awarded if funding is available. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (d) is between $250,000 and $500,000. There will not be a pre-proposal site visit held on this project. Projected start date is July 15, 2010 with completion not later than October 15, 2010 Performance and Payments will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757 and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
