- This is a sources sought notice seeking information from HUBZone, 8(a), and service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns that have an interest in submitting an offer on project JFSD200980 - UAS (RQ-1/MQ-1) Repair Fuel Cell Hangar 613 located at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. The project includes, but is not limited to repairing/renovating existing office space and bathrooms, adding a janitor closet to the existing office space, adding new tool storage and fire protection rooms, recoating the existing hangar floor, installing both foam and standard fire suppression systems for the hangar, replacing existing HVAC and exhaust systems, installing new 400 Hz receptacles in the hangar bay, retrofitting existing hangar and office space lights, and installing a new lightning protection system. Should a Request for Proposal be issued, the magnitude is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resultant contract awarded from any contemplated solicitation will be a firm fixed price contract. This office is requesting that all interested and qualified HUBZone small business concerns, 8(a) contractors, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement and proof of HUBZone, 8(a), or service-disabled veteran business status. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your firm is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. (3) statement of your current business size status under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 236220; small business size standard is $33.5 million. The information capability statement and data noted above must be submitted in written format by fax to 701-747-4215 or by e-mail to matt.sanders@grandforks.af.mil not later than 12:00 PM (CDT) on 24 May 2010. This sources sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and IS NOT a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR website is http:www.ccr.gov/. Also, the successful offeror must have an active Online Representation and Certification (ORCA). The ORCA website is http://orca.bpn.gov/. This source sought notice shall not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a solicitation/contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request.
