Description
This is a sole source acquisition from BAE Systems Controls Inc.(Cage Code 89954). The data required to acquire this part competitivelyis not physically available, cannot be obtained economically, nor is itpossible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate,economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.NSN: 5996-01-469-5696 OK.OEM Code: 89954; PN: 101E9880G01.Description: Electronic Amplifier controls the hydro mechanical nozzlesystem. Dimensions are approximately 12 inches long, 6 inches wide and3 inches high. Weight is approximately 10 pounds. Material aluminumcase sold state circuit.Quantity: Best Estimated Quantity for 3 Years of 7 each. TotalContract Max Quantity of 11 each.Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB OK.Delivery Schedule: Initial Quantity of 7 deliver at a rate of 5 eachper month beginning 31 MAR 2011.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, orquotation which shall be considered by the agency.One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free TradeAgreements.An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution ofconcerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for thisacquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strictconfidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of theombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager,contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, theombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, thesource selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formalcontract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another officialwho can resolve the concern. The ombudsman can be reached at (405)734-8253, fax (405) 734-8129. Do not contact the ombudsman to requestcopies of the solicitation, verify offer due date, or clarify technicalrequirements. Such inquiries shall be directed to the contractingofficer.Based upon market research, the Government is not using policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interestedparties may identify to the contracting officer their interest andcapability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercialitem within 15 days of this notice.Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Request forWritten Quotation/Proposal will be issued. Only written or faxedrequests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. Theanticipated award date will be 60 to 90 days after the issuance of thisnotice.
