- The US Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC) living history and educational program services has a requirement for support services of trained living history personnel with experience in the conduct of museum and historic site educational programs for the purpose of executing two large scale educational programs, The Market at Washingtonburg Sept 10-12, 2010 and Army Heritage Day, May 13-15, 2011, on the Army Heritage Trail at AHEC. Also, for the purpose of executing two large scale educational programs, Civil War 150, Sept. 30-October 2, 2011and Army Heritage Day, May 18-20, 2012, on the Army Heritage Trail at AHEC. These programs are incorporated under option year 1. The option period is a unilateral right of the Government to exercise. The programs for Civil War 150 will include historical presentations that center around the history of the US Army and the Confederate Army during the Civil War period (1861-1865). The program shall include two (2) lectures per day on historical topics identified by the contractor. Ten (10) presentations per day including short lectures, demonstrations of military craft and skills or the presentation of a particular type of military equipment reflected in the Civil War period as they relate to the Army Heritage Trail at AHEC. The contractor must be experienced in public speaking, acting, living history interpretation or similar qualifications that provide them the skills necessary to present a public program. A Basic understanding of U.S. Army history, technological terms and language and the ability to communicate clearly is necessary. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, materials, staff, transportation, and program support materials necessary to conduct the Market at Washingtonburg, Civil War 150, and Army Heritage Day programs and fully carry out the requirements set forth in contract..The Contractor shall provide experienced staff possessing the skills, knowledge, and training to satisfactorily perform the services required by this contract. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. Further information on registering with CCR may be obtained at website http://www.ccr.gov. This requirement is a set-aside 100% for small business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 711510 and the small business size standard is $7M.
