- The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, intends to solicit proposals for Vocational Training Programs to be provided onsite at the Northwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The specific vocational training programs are: Culinary Arts, Barbering, Horticulture/ Landscaping, and Carpentry (Millwork and Cabinetmaking). The solicitation number is W911S8-10-R-0009. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5-Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, and will result in the award of a single fixed-price requirements contract. This procurement is solicited on an unrestricted basis. The applicable NAICS code is 611519, Other Technical and Trade Schools, and the small business size standard is $7.0 Million. The anticipated period of performance includes a base period, beginning on 1 June 2010, or date of award if later, through 31 May 2011, plus four (4) one-year option periods. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. The tentative solicitation issue date is 17 May 2010, and the anticipated closing date is 7 June 2010. Interested vendors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. Offers from all eligible, capable, and responsible sources will be considered. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database http://www.ccr.gov/ and ensure that the applicable NAICS code is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of offers.
