Description
The purpose of this amendment is to address questions that were asked reference this requirement. This amendment also adds 722320 - "Caterers" as an applicable NAICS code for proposed contractors. Questions : 1. There is a reference to add a variety of cheeses to the sandwiches, but I did not see a reference to add lettuce and/or tomatoes. With the exception of veggie sandwiches, is it permissible to omit these items on the sandwiches? Answer: Yes it is permissible to omit these items on sandwiches. 2. An ice cart/cooler is required for the storage of ice. Will there be a need for a storage device for the sandwiches? Answer: No, there is not a need for a storage device for the sandwiches. They are distributed within a couple of hours of receipt. 3. Can the beverages (juice and sports drink) be in cans versus bottles? Answer: We would prefer bottles. I do not know of too many juices and/or sports drinks that come in cans. 4. Can the beverages be delivered ALL at once on the 10th of July? Answer: No. We do not have enough storage space. 5. Can the coffee be delivered ALL at once on the 6th of July? Answer: No. We do not have enough storage space. 6. Will we have to separate the sandwiches by content type or will they have to be mixed per box (in the past we had to wait on daily headcount and then subdivide each box based upon the breakdown they gave us. Answer: We would prefer mixed per box. Either way is fine if it would cut costs. However, we will need to the contents identified in each box. 7. Is there a minimum requirement for the bread thickness since it's one sandwich per person ( ¾" or ½" minimum?) Answer: There is not a minimum requirement for bread thickness. It needs to be sufficient to make a decent sandwich and the contents must be fresh.
