District of Columbia Pretrial Services Agency District of Columbia Pretrial Services Agency Theories of Counseling for Substance Abuse Treatment Training Program (SATTP) Sources Sought/Synopsis The District of Columbia Pretrial Services Agency (PSA), a federal agency, has a requirement to obtain services for training support for 25 Pretrial Service Officers/employees in understanding the Theories of Counseling for Substance Abuse Treatment. PSA is an independent Federal agency within the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) in the Executive Branch of the Federal government. PSA's mission is to assess, supervise and provide services for defendants, and collaborate with the justice community to assist the courts in making pretrial release decisions. The training should assist government employees in acquiring the skills needed to work with substance dependant defendants and provide employees with substance abuse credit hours needed for certification exams and re-certification of PSA's current certified or licensed substance abuse professionals. This particular training should teach employees on Theories of Counseling and how it is impacted by addiction and recovery. All companies interested who can provide this type of training should respond electronically and provide a summary of experience and expertise in this area.
