- Description
- The Government is seeking information on potential human Exploration precursorrobotic mission concepts. The Exploration Precursor Robotic Missions (xPRM) Study Team is particularly interestedin mission concepts aligned with the needs of Human Exploration beyond low Earth orbitthat can be launched quickly and at a total mission cost well within the cost range forthe prescribed mission class (see below). The xPRM Study Team will use responses to aidin programmatic deliberations about planning, developing, and operating explorationprecursor robotic missions. This request for information (RFI) is open to all types of respondents including, but notlimited to, educational, industrial, and not-for-profit organizations, internationalorganizations, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), UniversityAffiliated Research Centers (UARCs), NASA Centers, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL),and other Government agencies.NASA RFI # NNH10ZTT004L, entitled 'Exploration Precursor Robotic Missions,' will beavailable electronically on or about May 21, 2010, by opening the NASA ResearchOpportunities homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and then linking through themenu listings 'Solicitations' to 'Open Solicitations'. Responses to the RFI must be submitted electronically via NASAs proposal data system,NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES)(http://nspires.nasaprs.com ).
